Private charters

Private yacht charters for every occasion

A boat that is yours for the day changes everything: your music, your pace, your people. Here is how couples, families, friends and companies use a private charter in Los Cabos, and which vessels suit each.

Why private

Your group, your rules

Quick answer

A private charter reserves the whole vessel, captain and crew for your group, so the route, timing, food, drinks and music are planned around you rather than a shared tour. In Los Cabos, private charters range from a two-hour sunset cruise for two to a full-day celebration for 120 guests.

Shared boat tours follow a fixed script. A private charter lets you decide when to swim, how long to linger at El Arco, whether lunch is a casual platter or a chef-prepared meal, and whether the soundtrack is jazz or a DJ set. It also means privacy for a proposal-worthy sunset, a family reunion or a client conversation.

Every occasion below links to vessels that suit it. For the full range, compare the yacht fleet and the catamaran fleet, or simply tell us your plans. Sunset cruises, whale watching and chef-prepared meals are covered on our charter experiences page, and ceremonies and receptions on yacht weddings.

Occasions

Who charters, and how

Couples

Romance, privacy and the last light

For two people, a smaller yacht feels intimate rather than empty. Time the charter for golden hour, pause at El Arco for photos, then watch the sun set over the Pacific with a bottle of something cold. A dinner on board can be arranged on suitable yachts.

Vessels to consider: 27' Sea Ray, 40' VanDutch, 43' Azimut, 58' Custom Sunseeker.

Families

Shade, space and easy swimming

With children or grandparents aboard, comfort beats speed. Look for shade, a bathroom, an easy swim platform and a stable deck. Catamarans and mid-size flybridge yachts work especially well, and a floating mat or kayak keeps younger swimmers busy at anchor. Ask us to confirm life jackets in the sizes you need.

Vessels to consider: 50' Azimut, 60' Sunseeker Manhattan, 43' Lagoon, 52' Luxury Cat.

Birthdays and anniversaries

Milestones worth marking at sea

Balloons, banners and flowers on deck, a cake for the toast and a playlist chosen by the guest of honor. Anniversary couples often prefer a quieter yacht and a sunset departure; milestone birthdays with a crowd suit the larger yachts and catamarans with room to mingle. Decorations can be arranged on request.

Vessels to consider: 75' Sunseeker Manhattan, 72' Blue Water, 49' Special Event Catamaran.

Bachelor and bachelorette

Music up, sails or sun pads out

For a high-energy day, party catamarans bring sound systems, open bars and space to dance, with a swim stop to cool down. Smaller groups often prefer a head-turning sport yacht for photos with El Arco. Tell us your group size and style and we will suggest the right boat, plus any decorations or matching extras.

Vessels to consider: 47' Party Cat, Neon Moon Party Cat, 58' Custom Sunseeker, 74' Blue Water.

Corporate

Team days and client hospitality

A charter gives a team or a group of clients shared time away from screens, with a backdrop no meeting room can match. Event yachts and catamarans host receptions, working lunches and incentive celebrations with catering and sound arranged to suit. Large vessels are limited, so plan early for high season.

Vessels to consider: 72' Blue Water, 60' Event Catamaran, 110' The Deck.

Large groups and reunions

Everyone on the same boat

Family reunions, destination events and big friend groups do not have to split up. Vessels for 50 to 120 guests keep everyone together for the sightseeing, the meal and the photos. For mixed ages, ask about shade, seating and bathroom facilities as well as capacity.

Vessels to consider: 74' Blue Water, Event Wedding Boat, 100' Party Catamaran.

Longer charters

Weekends, multi-day trips and weekly charters

Some yachts have staterooms for overnight stays: the 130' Sovereign lists accommodation for up to 12 guests, and several 70' to 100' yachts have four or more staterooms. Weekly charters are also available on suitable vessels, including in La Paz on the Sea of Cortez.

Multi-day plans depend on the yacht, the season and the itinerary, so send us your dates, the number of guests and how you would like to spend the time, and we will tell you what is possible.

Questions & answers

Private charters, answered

What to know when planning a private celebration or group day on the water in Los Cabos.

Ask us something else

A private charter reserves the vessel, captain and crew for your group alone. You decide the timing, the stops, the food and drinks and the music, instead of following a shared tour schedule with other passengers.

Two guests is perfectly fine. Smaller yachts such as the 27' Sea Ray or the 40' VanDutch suit couples and small groups, and they feel intimate rather than empty.

Party catamarans such as the 47' Party Cat and the Neon Moon Party Cat bring sound systems, open bars and room to dance. For a smaller group that wants style and photos, the 58' Custom Sunseeker is a striking option.

Yes. Balloons, banners, flowers and similar decorations can be arranged, and you can bring a cake. Tell us the theme and we will confirm what can be set up on your vessel and any additional cost.

Yes, surprises are a favorite. Let us know the plan, whether it is a birthday cake at sunset or a special announcement, and we will coordinate the timing with the crew discreetly.

Many families charter with children. Choose a stable vessel with shade and a bathroom, confirm life jackets in the right sizes in advance, and plan a shorter charter for very young children. Parents remain responsible for supervising children on board and in the water.

Yes. Event yachts and catamarans host team outings, client receptions and incentive celebrations. Share your guest count, the format and catering preferences, and we will suggest suitable vessels and confirm the details.

The largest vessel in our catamaran collection lists up to 120 guests. Among the yachts, the 72' and 74' Blue Water list up to 50. For bigger events, ask us about options.

Some larger yachts have staterooms, and the 130' Sovereign lists overnight accommodation for up to 12 guests. Overnight and multi-day charters depend on the vessel and season, so we confirm availability for your dates.

Most yachts and all party catamarans have a sound system, and many let you connect your own playlist. Ask us to confirm the setup on your vessel, and whether a DJ can be arranged.

Four hours suits most celebrations, with time for sightseeing, a swim and a toast. A full eight-hour day allows a relaxed lunch and more stops, while a sunset charter is ideal for anniversaries and evening parties.

On many charters you may bring your own beverages, and catering can be added for an additional fee. Some packages include bar service or food. We confirm the policy for your vessel before you book.
